BRIEF
HISTORY
Kaurna Plains school opened in 1986 and is the only metropolitan
Aboriginal school in Adelaide. It is open to all R - 12 students,
but the specific needs of Aboriginal students are catered for. It
is a school that values tradition while looking to the 21st century.
It has strong ideals, visions, and aims: strengthening Aboriginality,
equality of educational outcomes for all students, academic success,
social development, personal worth and life skills.
